Client Relations Officer - Arizona

Job Summary: The Client Relations Officer is knowledgeable about the programs offered by B:Side Capital and maintains a special degree of expertise regarding the uses and advantages of the Small Business Administration (SBA) 504 and 7(a) loan programs and B:Side Fund’s programs. The Client Relations Officer must have a combination of loan program knowledge, strong interpersonal and communication skills to succeed.  Teamwork and collaboration is essential to ensure close alignment with the loan production, closing and portfolio management teams within the organization.  The Client Relations Officer will work to create and foster strong business relationships with lenders in their market area and find creative solutions to financing needs.  

The Client Relations Officer initiates new lender relationships for the organization, as well as maintaining and deepening existing relationships.  The Client Relations Officer is responsible to initiate new and manage existing relationships independently and always represent the organization in an impeccably professional manner.  Equally important, the Client Relations Officer must accurately represent and state the organization’s mission, its role in the commercial lending project and loan program parameters and eligibility throughout the loan process from initial discussions through closing and servicing.  Discretion and judgment are necessary in order to determine when consultation with others is required to ensure a positive outcome and excellent customer service is achieved for all parties. 

Major Duties, Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Understands business loan programs offered at B:Side Capital and B:Side Fund with an accurate and comprehensive knowledge of the Small Business Administration loan programs;

  • Cultivates positive interactions and relationships with the loan production, closing and portfolio management teams, as well as organization-wide.

  • Creates new relationships that allow B:Side to grow and expand

  • Provides excellent service and resolves issues promptly to maintain a positive reputation for the business; 

  • Effectively collaborates and consults with the Lending Director, managers and full loan production team to ensure alignment on organization role and SBA eligibility; 

  • Analyzes situations fully and accurately, in order to reach productive results; 

  • Identifies and attends productive networking and small business events;

  • Identifies key contacts at potential and existing lenders to establish and foster relationships;

  • Arranges business meetings and one-on-one conversations with prospective and existing lenders;

  • Joins lender on prospective borrower meetings in order to thoroughly understand the project and provide B:Side program’s expertise;

  • Collaborates closely with marketing team to help identify prospective leads and manage appropriate pipelines;

  • Works with Loan Production, Lender Services, Fund and Marketing teams to schedule and coordinate lender trainings; 

  • Builds trust and long term relationships with lenders and other related professionals; 

  • Serves as primary contact for new lending relationships;

  • Assists in the collection of necessary information for projects as needed;

  • Remains up to date on market and industry trends;

  • Other duties may be assigned.

Essential Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in related field is preferred but not required, or relevant work experience

Experience: At least 3-5 years of experience within commercial and/or Small Business Administration lending or a related field. 

Organizational Relationships:

  • Supervision Received: Reports directly to the Marketing Director 

  • Supervision Provided: None at this time

Work Environment: Primary work location is remote from home based in Arizona. B:Side Capital’s headquarters are in Denver, Colorado. This position will require occasional travel around the state and to the head office in Denver, Colorado.  

Status: Exempt  

Compensation: $65,000-$75,000, medical insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance, short term disability, long term disability, health savings accounts, flexible spending account, dependent care, 401(k) with up to 6% match immediate vesting, all federal holidays paid, and open paid time off. Position may be commission eligible.
